Welltower Inc. (NYSE:HCN) will participate at The World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. Welltower’s Chief Executive Officer Thomas J. DeRosa will discuss creating health care infrastructure that promotes wellness for an aging population during a panel discussion, What If: You are Still Alive in 2100? The session, developed in partnership with TIME Magazine, will be available via live webcast Wednesday, January 20th at 10:15 a.m. EST. The session can be viewed on the World Economic Forum website.

“As the number of people in the world over the age of 80 grows exponentially and while scientists push the boundaries of the human lifespan even further, we have to grapple with the reality of the impact of aging on our bodies and our minds. Vast investments are needed to create the physical and social environments necessary to meet the challenges of our aging population here and now,” said DeRosa.

Welltower, a global leader in health care real estate, is driving innovation, value and the transformation of health care infrastructure. The company partners with premier seniors housing and memory care operators to fund and develop innovative approaches to living with diseases associated with aging, including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

In advance of the panel discussion, which will explore the potential impacts of significantly extended lifespans, the World Economic Forum has posted an open survey asking, “How would you change your habits if you could live to be 150 with healthy lifestyle practices?” Survey responses will be addressed by panel participants during the session.
