Shares of power producers rose for a second day, as long-term Treasury yields slipped following mixed economic data.

Southern shares fell after the utility posted lower fourth-quarter revenue on weak fuel, wholesale electric and natural gas sales.

Constellation Energy gained 2.2% after the company filed a license renewal application with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for its Clinton Clean Energy Center in Clinton, Ill.
