Texas Department of Transportation : Major Closures on I-35E and US 287 at Night for Bridge Work

WAXAHACHIE- Weather permitting, there will be several lane closures on I-35E and US 287 this week in order to accommodate the construction of the US 287 bridge over I-35E:

• Both southbound lanes of I-35E will be closed from a half mile north of US 287 to US 287 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. every night from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2. Both lanes will exit at the southbound frontage road using exit 403 then will re-enter the highway south of US 287.
• US 287 eastbound frontage road will be closed from just east and west of I-35E between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next morning on Jan. 30. Traffic will take the exit to the I-35E southbound frontage road and head south to Business 287 to turn around and head north. Then traffic will take the exit to US 287 eastbound frontage road.
• US 287 westbound frontage road will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning on the night of Feb. 2. Traffic will take the exit to I-35E northbound frontage road, continue north then use Lofland Drive to head south to take the US 287 westbound frontage road.
• The I-35E southbound frontage road to the US 287 clover leaf-connector will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning on Jan. 30. Traffic will head south using exit 401B to turn around at Business 287 and head north to get onto the US 287 eastbound frontage road.
• I-35E northbound frontage road to US 287 westbound frontage road clover-leaf connector will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning on Feb. 1. Traffic will need to head north, take exit 404 and turn around at Lofland Drive then head south to get onto the US 287 westbound frontage road.

Motorists should expect delays.
