TAIEX Decreases by Approximately 5.33% this Week, while the Total Market Capitalization of the TWSE-listed Stocks Reached 23.20 trillion NTD.
According to the statistics of TWSE, TAIEX closed at 7,893.97 on January 8, 2016, down 444.09 from last week's (December 31, 2015) 8,338.06, a decrease of approximately 5.33%. The FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 Index closed at 5,732.96, down 372.48 from last week's 6,105.44, a decrease of approximately 6.10%. The Formosa Index closed at 9,201.89, down 507.02 from last week's 9,708.91, a decrease of approximately 5.22%.
The total trading value for year-to-date on the TWSE market was 0.47 trillion NTD.
The total market capitalization of the TWSE-listed Stocks amounted to 23.20 trillion NTD at the end of this week.
