Lumber production was stable in October compared with September. Sawmills produced 5,920.5 thousand cubic metres of lumber, up 4.2% compared with October 2015.

In October, sawmills shipped 5,865.9 thousand cubic metres of lumber, down 2.8% from September. Shipments were 0.2% lower than in October 2015.
