In December total consumption of electricity increased by 1% over the same period one year ago

Compared with previous month production of electricity in December 2016 increased by 5% and supply of energy commodities also increased.

Increase of total net electricity generation in December compared to November
In December 2016 total net electricity generation was 1379 GWh, compared to November 2016 increased by 5% and consumption was 1243 GWh, compared to November 2016 increased by 5%. Hydro power plants generation decreased by 42%, generation in the thermal power plants increased by 28% and nuclear power plant increased by 35%.
In line with the higher production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in December 2016 also increased by 29%.
In December 2016, 643 GWh of electricity was imported and 751 GWh was exported.
Increase of energy supply in December 2016
In December 2016 supply of energy commodities in general went up with exception of Other Petroleum Products supply fell with 36% and Coke Oven Coke supply fell with 8%. Compared with previous month we further noticed supply rise as 64% with Heavy Fuel Oil, 41% with LPG, 36% with Lignite, 24% with Natural Gas, 12% with Transport Diesel Oil, 11% with Motor Gasoline and 4% with Kerosene Jet Fuel.
