BayView Radiology, Tampa, FL will deploy Breast Imaging PACS from international medical imaging IT company, Sectra (Link) (STO: SECT B).   The robust solution will allow reading of full field digital mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound and CAD, on a single workstation.

"Sectra's well thought-out workflow is the key to their competitive advantage. The logical presentation of images and robust toolset will offer improved detection of early stage cancers," says BayView Radiology Medical Director, Alan Cousin, MD, PhD, PEng, FACR.

Sectra Breast Imaging PACS is a web-based, multi-modality workstation featuring advanced diagnostic tools, including integrated CAD and reporting, that offers a single-system reading environment for mammographers. All digital breast images, regardless of modality vendor, are automatically displayed in the same size with correct orientation and alignment, facilitating comparison of current and prior images.

"Our philosophy of providing high quality mammographic display and intuitive hanging protocols reflect our on-going success in breast PACS," says Sectra President of North America, Mikael Anden.
