Calgary, AB (January 9, 2019) - STEP is proud to announce that, with its dollar-for-dollar corporate match, the total amount raised by employees for its annual 2018 Christmas Spirit Campaign was $89,640 across North America.

As part of the campaign, STEP challenges its service centers and professionals to fundraise or make a community impact to those less fortunate. These charities are chosen by each service center and help some of society's most vulnerable - women, children, and families with less fortunate means.

The breakdown of the funds raised is as follows:

Canada

Blackfalds, AB: Blackfalds Christmas Bureau | $16,406

Calgary, AB: The United Way | $10,830

Fort St. John, BC: Women's Resource Society | $6,466

Grande Prairie, AB: The Odyssey House| $1,668

Medicine Hat, AB: Canadian Mental Health | $5,740

Red Deer, AB: Red Deer Christmas Bureau & Food Bank Society | $13,680

USA

San Antonio, Floresville, Midland, Arcadia | $14,840

Donation to be split between:

  • Floresville Food Pantry & Resource Center
  • West Texas Food Bank
  • Bread of Life Food Ministry, First Baptist Church of Arcadia

Houston and McAlester| $1,630

Donation to be split between:

  • Houston Food Bank
  • McAlester Youth Emergency Shelter
