Robert Cryer has joined MPR Associates as Director for its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Business. In this position, Mr. Cryer leads MPR's domestic and international business for internal combustion engines in power, transportation and industrial applications. These services include optimizing the design, performance and reliability of internal combustion engines of all types, executing new projects to install or modify engines, and managing various engine industry users groups.

Mr. Cryer comes to MPR with 30 years of experience in the engine industry. Before joining MPR, Mr. Cryer held leadership positions at Mack Trucks and GE Transportation. At GE, he developed and patented the first electronic fuel injection system used on locomotives. His diesel experience at Mack and GE included both marine and stationary power applications, as well as, reliability and condition-based maintenance.

Mr. Cryer, a licensed Professional Engineer, earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
