PetroSkills announced today that it has acquired Resource Development Company, LLC (RDC TM) of Birmingham, Michigan. The acquisition of RDC significantly expands the range of products and services available to members of the PetroSkills Alliance and to PetroSkills customers worldwide.

"We are very excited about the addition of RDC to the PetroSkills family," said J. Ford Brett, PetroSkills CEO. "RDC has a long history of providing industry-leading e-Learning content and software to the petroleum industry. RDC solutions help assure the competency of tens of thousands of operators, technicians and professionals each year. Acquiring RDC enables us to provide broader, deeper and more flexible solutions to the needs of our customers and PetroSkills Alliance members in the development and assurance of the competency of their personnel."

"Formed in 1962, RDC has more than a half-century's reputation for excellence and quality in both content and the management of the knowledge transfer process, which makes this transaction a particularly strong fit for PetroSkills and the PetroSkills Alliance," added Nicholas Schacht, President and COO of PetroSkills. RDC's ePilot TM e-Learning library contains more than 600 hours of industry-validated content covering: operations and maintenance; health, safety and environmental; refining; petrochemical; production; and a wide range of other topics. RDC's Active Learner® learning and compliance management system is the premier environment specifically designed to address the unique complexities and regulatory requirements of learning in process manufacturing environments.

"We are beginning the integration of our companies immediately," continued Mr. Schacht. "We expect our member and client service experience to be seamless. Existing RDC customers will see no change in the products or the quality of service they are accustomed to receiving, and we look forward to expanding their reach worldwide."
