OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan 13, 2016) - Visitors to Louisville's iconic Fourth Street Live! entertainment district can now enjoy great drinks and food while overlooking all the action on Fourth Street below thanks to a new and creative bridge/restaurant enclosure built by OpenAire and The Cordish Companies. The attractive and spacious Goose Island's Beer Bridge spans 48 feet over Louisville's busy downtown Fourth Street and features quite possibly the best view of the landmark entertainment district, thanks to a double-sloped, glass-paneled enclosure designed and installed by OpenAire.

OpenAire, based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, teamed with world-renowned developer, The Cordish Companies, to create a fixed roof structure for Goose Island's Beer Bridge with visibility and openness in mind. The ten-foot sidewalls and lightweight aluminum truss system give an unobstructed view of the many attractions at Fourth Street Live!, including the iconic Friday Night Live! summer concert series, while sheltering diners from all kinds of weather. Goose Island's Beer Bridge was completed in time for the May 2014 Kentucky Derby, attracting hundreds of excited guests for the events and earning great reviews. The Bridge's prime location, unique design and top-notch food and drink have made it the premier meeting place for downtown Louisville.

"Our work on Goose Island's Beer Bridge is a doubly important part of our portfolio," says Mark Albertine, President and CEO of OpenAire, "First, it's a major contribution to one of Kentucky's most famous entertainment attractions. Second, it's a great continuation of our relationship with internationally renowned The Cordish Companies. Not only are we doing innovative work for a major destination, we are doing it in partnership with a world-class real estate development firm. It's been an incredible opportunity that we can all be proud of."

"Working with OpenAire on this enhancement to Fourth Street Live! has been fantastic. The structural design is impeccable, giving Fourth Street Live! visitors unparalleled views to all that the district has to offer," said Brad Pernaw, General Manager at Fourth Street Live!. "OpenAire is one of the best in the business and we're looking forward to seeing each of the projects worked on with The Cordish Companies."

The custom-engineered enclosure offers Goose Island's Beer Bridge an eye-catching design that gives its customers their own sense of space in within this large entertainment venue. OpenAire is grateful to be part of Louisville's iconic Fourth Street Live! with The Cordish Companies. The OpenAire team is eager to continue this ambitious partnership; with the success of Goose Island's Beer Bridge, it is off to an excellent start.
