As part of their study about water and the human impact upon the world's water supply; the 7th graders at Rapid Run became concerned for families who had limited or no access to fresh drinking water. The seventh grade initiated a fundraiser in conjunction with Heifer International and raised over $400.

This dollar amount is enough to give the gift of clean water to a family and install a treadle pump. Part of this money will go teaching families about water conservation and improve the health and well being of their children.
