Pacific Fleet Marines have started training for the Masters of Artillery Fire of the International Army Games 2018.
The first preliminary stage is held at the Bamburovo training ground in Primorye and Kamchatka. Ten artillery crews of the Pacific Fleet Marines separate brigades are involved in the competition.
In course of the preliminary competition, the Marines fire 120mm mortars with high-explosive bombs at complex targets. Targets are placed at a distance of 1,500m. Besides accuracy of the shooting, the panel of judges assesses the professional skills of drivers.
The current competition will determine the best mortar crews that will represent the Pacific Fleet at the district stage of the Masters of Artillery Fire.
