In accordance with the PF Coastal Troops combat training plan, the Marines of the Pacific Fleet have already performed more than 400 parachute jumps since the beginning of 2018.
Today, the Marines have practised about 200 parachute jumps from the An-26 aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters at PF marine air bases in Primorye and Kamchatka. Most of the jumps were carried out as part of the airborne training, which involved air assault and reconnaissance subunits of PF separate Marines brigades, including conscripts drafted into the Armed Forces last autumn.
According to the results of 2017, the Pacific Fleet Marines carried out more than 6,000 parachute jumps, and the Fleet's Coastal Troops - about 100 tactical and special exercises.
