Sally Crossing, AM was a tireless health advocate who raised her voice to represent the needs of health consumers, especially those affected by cancer.

Sally established and led the well-known consumer advocacy groups - Breast Cancer Action Group NSW (1997) and Cancer Voices (2000). She was pivotal in the establishment of Health Consumers NSW (HCNSW), the peak independent voice for the consumers of health services in NSW, and became its first Chair in 2011. Sally's contributions to research, policy and clinical practice, as well as raising awareness and improving the treatment for individuals and their loved ones affected by cancer, has been exceptional and her exchange of ideas has been of immense value to our industry.

Rest in peace Sally,
