Producers of metals and other raw materials fell as investors rotated out of the value sector back into technology.

Less than two years after Corteva was formed through the merger of the agricultural units of DuPont and Dow Chemical, the seed and pesticide maker faces pressure from activist investor Starboard Value. Seeking to shake up the chemicals niche is a familiar playbook for Wall Street investors, who helped orchestrate the deal between Dow Chemical and DuPont in the first place.

Wheat futures fell after the Russian government confirmed it wouldn't move forward with a rumored quota, opting to maintain the 50-euro duty put on its wheat exports beginning next month.
