Producers of metals and other raw materials fell as investors retreated from economically sensitive sectors in light of diminished prospects for stimulus legislation in the near term.

Gold futures fell slightly, bringing their retreat to 6% from its 52-week high of $2051.50 marked on Aug. 6, 2020.

Suzano, one of Brazil's largest paper manufacturers, is pitching investors a bond that will cost the company money if it fails to meet greenhouse gas-reduction targets, as the corporation attempts to get ahead of controversy about deforestation in the vast South American nation.
