Manitoba Public Utilities Board : Stittco Utilities Man Ltd.- Propane Rates Effective February 1, 2013

By Board Order 11/13, the Public Utilities Board (Board) approves an increase in Stittco Utilities Man Ltd.'s (Stittco) propane commodity rate from $0.9136/m3 to $0.9249/m3 for propane consumed on or after February 1, 2013. The impact of the increase in the propane commodity rate, along with non-commodity costs, is expected to increase the average residential bill by approximately 0.5% depending on propane consumption.
Commodity rates are reviewed quarterly in accordance with a Board-approved methodology. Non-commodity cost rates are reviewed annually and reflect operating costs, income taxes, depreciation and a provision for a rate of return on shareholder's investment. The last change to non-commodity rates occurred in August 2012.
