Retail Trade Turnover index presented a more negative year-on-year change rate

The retail trade turnover index (seasonally adjusted and at constant prices) moved from a year-on-year change rate of
-5.6% in November to -9.7% in December.
In the 4th quarter 2012 the year-on-year change rate stood at -7.2% (-6.6% in the 3rd quarter). For the year 2012, the retail trade turnover index decreased 6.7% (change rate of -6.8% in the previous year).
The year-on-year change rates of the indices of employment, of the number of hours worked adjusted for working days and of wages and salaries were -5.8%, -6.9% and -7.4%, respectively (-5.7%, -6.2% and -6.2% in November, by the same order).
