29/01/2020 - Violence against women remains a global pandemic. Worldwide, more than one out of three women have experienced physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime.

OECD Ministers and other global leaders will meet at the OECD in Paris on 5-6 February 2020 to discuss how to prevent, address, and eradicate violence against women.

OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will open the conference at 13.30, followed by a keynote address by French Minister Marlène Schiappa, Secretary of State in Charge of Equality between Women and Men and Anti-Discrimination Policies.

This event is open to media and will also be webcast live.
