  • GDNA: Do not respond to 'Welcome to GA PMP AWARE' emails

The Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency (GDNA) is advising physicians in the state notto respond to (or follow any links associated with) any emails that read, 'Welcome to GA PMP AWARE …You have successfully signed up for GA PMP AWARE.'

According to GDNA, the fraudulent email says, 'Thank you for registering for the Georgia PMP. If you are an out of State prescriber or pharmacist you must complete the application on-line and submit electronically. You must print out the application, have notarized and mail to Georgia Drugs and Narcotics, 254 Washington Street SW, Suite G2000, Atlanta, Georgia 30334 along with a copy of your State License and a photo ID within 15 business days. If you need additional assistance with the registration process, contact Georgia Drugs and Narcotics at 404-656-5102.'

GDNA says that physicians who receive this email should forward it to gapdmp@gdna.ga.gov.

Contact GDNA Director Rick Allen at rallen@gdna.ga.gov with questions.
