Two 27-year-old nurses on their first wedding anniversary trip from the United States, Samantha and Devon Ellis said: "It's very strange. We remember looking at the news before we left and we were like 'oh my goodness, this is so crazy', you know, she's lived for so long and it's just such an unfortunate event but being here nonetheless is an amazing experience and we are both grateful for it."
A state funeral for the Queen will be held at Westminster Abbey on Monday after which she is due to be driven up the Long Walk and buried in the private St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
