FreeCast, the leading content discovery and management engine behind best-selling eMedia guide Rabbit TV, today revealed plans for its new globally licensed video on-demand platform, labeled SelectTV.

The company's newest offering will target telecommunications companies and bandwidth providers which specialize in Internet bandwidth distribution yet don't offer television/cable services. SelectTV's massive video-on-demand library of free, pay-per-view and subscription content exceeds cable or satellite offerings, thus providing a great low-cost TV alternative for these telco customers.

SelectTV will also be introduced as a pre-load on various devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers and televisions. FreeCast has already entered talks with major manufacturers and user interface (UI) distributors with expectations to be included in the newest product lines this fall.

The company has also begun negotiations with market leaders in the hospitality and accommodations industry, including hotel, timeshare and multi-housing developers seeking an alternative for outdated and expensive in-room media systems.

"This is a great commercial media platform and a perfect partnership for all of these industries, both devices and services. We're unbundling the norm, giving these customers the freedom to select what they want to watch, when they want to watch it, be it free or paid content," says FreeCast CEO William Mobley.

FreeCast is currently exhibiting at CES 2014 in LVH Hospitality Suite 371 (East Tower).
