European Commission Directorate General for Inte : Regional coordination and support for the EU-Central Asia enhanced regional cooperation on Environment, Climate Change and Water (WECOOP Phase 2)

The objective of the Action is to promote sustainable development of the Partner Countries and to facilitate closer cooperation within the region of Central Asia and between Central Asia and the EU. The specific objectives are to enhance dialogue between the EU and the Partner Countries and to strengthen regional coordination in climate change adaptation, environment, and water through the Environment and Water Cooperation Platform and the Working Group on Environment and Climate Change; to help policy making in the Partner Countries to adopt international best practices to be able to respond more effectively to the existing challenges in environmental and water management and climate change adaptation; and to enhance visibility of the EU support in the region through improved regional communications, activity mapping/analysis and networking.
