By During his career, Dr. Lumish has held executive positions in product development, technology development, business development and economic stabilization. Previously having served as Chief Technology Officer at JDS Uniphase (code: JDSU), he most recently was a senior executive at the US Department of Defense Task Force for Business & Stability Operations focused on reinvigorating the technology sectors in Iraq and Afghanistan. Earlier in his career, in addition to his tenure at JDSU, Dr. Lumish also served in executive and senior management positions at Lucent Technologies and AT&T Bell Laboratories. He received the prestigious Bell Labs Fellow and IEEE Fellow awards for his work on commercialization of lightwave systems. He also serves on the external advisory board of the Tyndall National Institute and is a consultant and senior advisor to Intelligent Material Solutions, Velankani Communications Technologies, VPIsystems and a number of startups.
