District 7 Wines marks their national introduction with news that the brand is an official sponsor for the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am to be held February 3 - 9, 2014. As an official sponsor, District 7 will offer tastings at the tournament Grand Entrance at Pebble Beach and will be a featured winery in the exclusive United Fairway Club tent at the 17th hole. The wines, crafted by Scheid Family Wines and sourced from Monterey, are now also available nationally at fine retailers from coast to coast.

District 7 Wines grew out of the Scheid family's belief in the Monterey appellation. California is divided into 17 grape crush districts, encompassing a wide range of climate, terrain and soil types. District 7 is Monterey County, a growing region like no other. District 7 has the longest growing season of all of the districts, a result of the chilled marine air from the Monterey Bay that rushes down the Salinas Valley each day. The cool and windy conditions allow the natural complexity and intricate fruit flavors to develop while preserving crucial acidity. But District 7 isn't just about wine.

"At District 7, we strive to represent the best of Monterey," said Scott Scheid, President and CEO of Scheid Family Wines. "We are the proud wine sponsor of the Monterey Jazz Festival, a 57-year old annual tradition. And now, we are thrilled to be involved with the world's premier PGA tour Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. We can think of no better way to introduce our wines on the national stage."

The people at District 7 Wines believe that Monterey has so much to offer - abundant agriculture, fresh cuisine, and natural beauty, as well as wonderful diversions such as world-class golf, the Monterey Aquarium, and a rich musical tradition. "To be able to pair the incomparable assets of Monterey with our District 7 wines is an honor and we look forward to sharing our wines with this year's spectators at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and with consumers nationwide."

District 7 Wines line-up includes Sauvignon Blanc (SRP $16), Chardonnay (SRP $18), Pinot Noir (SRP $20) and Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $20), all estate grown and sourced from the Monterey AVA.
