This announcement is made by Deson Construction International Holdings Limited (the ''Company'', and together with its subsidiaries, the ''Group'') pursuant to Rule 17.10(2)(a) the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on the Growth Enterprise Market of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the ''GEM Listing Rules'') and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined in the GEM Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board of directors of the Company (the ''Board'') would like to inform the shareholders of the Company (the ''Shareholders'') and potential investors that, based on preliminary assessment of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group, the Group is expected to record a considerable decrease in its consolidated profit attributable to owners of the Company for the nine months ended 31 December 2017 as compared to that for the nine months ended 31 December 2016. Based on the information currently available to the Board, such considerable decrease in the consolidated profit was mainly due to (i) the decrease in both realised and unrealised gains in the Group's investments in marketable securities; (ii) the provision for loss arising from certain suspicious internet frauds which involved fraudulent transfers of funds of approximately RMB19 million from the bank account of a 60%-owned subsidiary of the Company as disclosed in the Company's announcement dated 21 December 2017; and (iii) the decrease in profits in the construction business of the Group.

The Company is in the process of finalising the Group's financial results for the nine months ended 31 December 2017. The information contained in this announcement is only based on a preliminary assessment made by the Board on the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group, and such information has not beenaudited by the Company's independent auditor. Shareholders of the Company and potential investors are advised to refer to the details of the Group's quarterly results for the nine months ended 31 December 2017, which are expected to be released by way of announcement in early February 2018.
