Compulink Business Systems, Inc. announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Eyecom, a division of Echo, a HealthStream Company. The acquisition of Eyecom continues to increase Compulink’s optometric market share and further solidify its position as a premier provider of ophthalmic EHR and Practice Management solutions.

“With this acquisition, we continue to grow Compulink’s position as the industry leader in ophthalmic EHR,” said Link Wilson, CEO, Compulink. “We are currently the only company that can provide a complete, single database customizable solution to automate the entire ophthalmic practice.”

Designed to maximize efficiencies and improve profitability, Compulink’s all in one solution includes practice management, EHR, optical, ASC, patient portal, and ophthalmic billing services. The company currently has over 10,000 providers using its Advantage software, along with 17 ophthalmic colleges and universities who have standardized on Compulink.

“As we considered various alternatives for the acquisition, we sought a company that understands the complex clinical and business requirements of today’s ophthalmic practices with solutions that automate processes and improve efficiency. Compulink met that standard,” said Michael J. Sousa, President of Echo.
