City resident who enjoy curbside collection of refuse and recycling by the city's Operations Division must remember that the city disposes only of resident-generated refuse and yard waste.
Do-it-yourself home improvements are defined as those accomplished by occupants of the home. This includes yard care, home renovation and any work conducted on the property's buildings or property.
Non-occupants of the home who provide assistance are considered contractors and the debris will not be picked up. Occupants are responsible for the disposal of contractor-generated debris, or contractors must dispose of their debris. This includes debris as a result of winter weather.
Please note: curbside debris cannot be a safety hazard within city right-of-way.
