DayNine Consulting, a leading global Workday (NYSE: WDAY) services partner, was selected by Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), to lead the deployment of its Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) application and the transformation of its HR Support Center, bringing HR and benefits administration in-house. Given the changing landscape of the healthcare industry, CHI's selection of Workday and DayNine represents the delivery of new innovation in human resources management to one of the largest, leading-edge US healthcare providers.

CHI selected Workday's unified HCM application and DayNine's expertise for the cost savings and productivity benefits it will receive over traditional legacy technology and outsourced HR support models. By working with DayNine to deploy the intuitive, cloud-based Workday application, CHI will gain greater flexibility during its rapid expansion. Moreover, the addition of an in-house Support Center will enable Call Center reps to better answer calls intuitively and in a manner that fits the CHI culture. The company and its growing workforce of more than 86,000 will benefit from DayNine's advanced Workday practices, providing:

  • Advanced Data Services: Conversion of CHI's transactional history covering multi-year records for current employees, contingent workers and former workers.
  • Integrations: Configuration of more than 45 integrations between Workday and third-party providers, affording seamless data transfer and user experience.
  • HR Support Center Transformation: Delivery of CHI's new HR Support Center, transforming the previous outsourced services in the summer of 2015.

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, Catholic Health Initiatives is a national nonprofit health system and the nation's third largest faith-based health system. With facilities in 18 states, CHI operates 86 acute-care and specialty hospitals along with 40 long-term care, assisted- and residential-living facilities. CHI also governs two accredited nursing colleges, academic medical centers and various additional health care services facilities.

"One of Catholic Health Initiatives' primary responsibilities is to ensure our valued staff has the required technology enabling them to serve the people who depend on them," said Mike Andrus, Vice President, HR Operations at Catholic Health Initiatives. "The efficient, innovative and user-friendly Workday application, combined with DayNine's expertise in Workday deployments, will provide us with the operational advantage we need during this time of aggressive growth and change."

"We are honored to be selected by a company of Catholic Heath Initiatives' caliber in the healthcare industry," said DayNine CEO Tim Ramos. "CHI's choice of DayNine demonstrates the deep trust DayNine has earned as a respected Workday partner since our founding in 2009."
