WORKPLACE SYSTEMS TO UNVEIL MOBILE COLLABORATIVE SCHEDULING AT NRF 2015

New mobile application enables employees to select and manage shifts and free Smart Schedule Assessment tool is available today

Workplace Systems, a leading global provider of Smart Scheduling and intelligent forecasting software, today announced the launch of its revolutionary new product optimized to help consumer-facing businesses drive revenue.

Workplace Mobile will debut at the 104th annual National Retail Federation (NRF) EXPO—Retail’s BIG Show—held January 11-13 at the Javits Center in New York City. During the show, Workplace CEO David Farquhar will also host a Big !deas session, where he will share actionable insights for driving revenue with Smart Schedules, along with T-Mobile Exclusive Retailer, Wireless Vision.

Workplace is a SaaS product suite that helps mid-sized companies create workforce schedules that support both employee work/life balance and strategic goals for business growth. More engaged employees provide better customer service, which leads to increased sales.

Workplace is designed to enable retailers and other consumer-facing service providers to promote hourly paid employee engagement through a collaborative scheduling process. It empowers store managers to build schedules based on local conditions and respond to forecast customer demand levels.

This highly intuitive mobile application gives employees the ability to access their upcoming work schedules from anywhere, at any time, notify their availability, manage their work preferences swap shifts and bid for open shifts.

“Employees want a voice in the scheduling process and enlightened employers know the business benefits in enabling that dialogue,” said David Farquhar, CEO of Workplace Systems. “Workplace enables retailers and their employees to collaboratively create schedules that give these hourly paid workers more predictability and influence over their shifts and increases the amount of time managers spend with customers, rather than in the back office.”

The company has also unveiled Workplace Smart Schedule Assessment, a free tool which gives retail operations visibility of the potential improvements that Smart Scheduling can deliver.

“Workplace has enabled us to engage our employees in the scheduling process, while improving the organization’s ability to put the right people in the right place at the right time,” said Dawn Bernick, Director of Operations at Wireless Vision, a T-Mobile Exclusive Retailer with more than 200 locations across the U.S. “Our sales associates and store managers are happier with the process and that translates to happier customers, who have significantly increased their spending with us in the past year.”

On Tuesday afternoon, Dawn Bernick will join David Farquhar on stage for his Big !deas session, where together they will discuss how collaborative, Smart Scheduling practices can boost employee engagement and activate intelligent forecasting to maximize sales conversions.
