CEI Bois : New Chairman, Vice-Chairmen and Board

Last 13 of January 2016, the General Assembly of the European Confederation of the Woodworking Industries (CEI-Bois) elected in Brussels its new Chairman, Vice-Chairmen and Board Members.

Mr Anders Ek (President of SCA Timber Supply), from Sweden, was elected new Chairman of CEI-Bois.

Mr Ek succeeds to Mr Marc Michielsen (former Director Government & Regulatory Affairs EMEA at CHEP) who was elected Honorary Chairman and will remain in the Board as Vice-Chairman.

Dr Erich Wiesner (Owner and Managing Director of WIEHAG AG, Chairman of the Austrian Federation of the Woodworking and Furniture Industries) was elected Vice-Chairman and Mr Vítor Poças (Industrialist, President of AIMMP, the Portuguese Association of Woodworking & Furniture Industries) was re-elected Vice-Chairman.

Additionally to Messrs Ek, Michielsen, Wiesner and Poças, the CEI-Bois Board of Directors for the next two-year period includes:

• Mr Sampsa Auvinen (CEO Norvik Timber, Chairman of EOS, the European Organisation of the Sawmill Industries)
• Mr Filip De Jaeger (Deputy Director-General of Fedustria, the Belgian Federation of Woodworking & Furniture Industries)
• Mr Markku Herrala (Director Stakeholder relations UPM Plywood, Finland)
• Dr Mathias Schäfer (Managing Director of FingerHaus GmbH e. al., Germany)
• Mr Bert Kattenbroek

Outgoing CEI‐Bois Chairman Marc Michielsen congratulated Mr Anders Ek for his election as the new Chairman and expressed his best wishes to the new Board.

The General Assembly expressed its gratitude to the outgoing Chairman Mr Michielsen and Board members Messrs Arto Juvonen and Måns Johansson.

During the General Assembly, Mr Patrizio Antonicoli was confirmed as CEI-Bois Secretary General.
