The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Tuesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped. The loonie was trading 0% higher at C$1.3563 to the greenback, or 73.73 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3561 to 1.3585. Canadian government 10-year bond yields fell 4.9 basis points to 3.575%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.3837%. U.S. May crude futures fell 28 cents to $86.15 a barrel on Tuesday.
