NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2016) - Adorama, one of the world's largest photography, video, audio, imaging and electronics retailers, is now selling for preorder the recently unveiled Olympus PEN-F mirrorless interchangeable-lens compact (MILC) digital camera, a highly awaited model designed for serious enthusiasts and street photographers. The PEN-F is a modern twist on the success of classic Olympus cameras, complete with a retro design. It features an ISO range of 200-25,000 and a high-resolution 20MP micro four-thirds sensor for the perfect picture even in low lighting.

Also just announced is the limited-edition version of the Olympus E-M10 Mark II with a 14-42mm zoom lens for $899.

Adorama expert Daniel Norton was one of the first to get his hands on the Olympus PEN-F mirrorless digital camera -- watch as he sits down with Olympus to test out the capabilities of the brand new camera.

Get a First Look at the PEN-F with Adorama Expert Mason Resnick
Adorama Learning Center's Mason Resnick took a first look at the PEN-F in his featured article on the ALC site. He reports that he "found it to be an impressive camera that puts an impressive degree of fine image quality control at your fingertips -- and does so in a user-friendly, intuitive fashion. For a knowledgeable photographer, this camera is a powerful tool."

Overall, he says, "The Olympus Pen-F, 2016 version, feels great in the hands. Its old-school dials move comfortably and are conveniently placed. For the smart-phone generation, the touch screen is an effective way to get around the camera's basic controls, but use the knobs to dig deep."

Feature Highlights Include:

  • 20MP CMOS sensor with no low-pass filter results in reduced noise and higher ISOs, plus 5-axis IS (Image Stabilization), effective to five stops
