DENVER, January 6, 2014 - Anschutz Exploration Corporation today announced that petroleum-industry senior executive Joseph DeDominic will join the firm as President and Chief Operating Officer.

DeDominic will assume this leadership role immediately, and will be based in Anschutz's Denver office. William J. Miller, who has served as Anschutz's president since 1993, will move into a new role as Senior Vice President, Energy and Land Resources with the Anschutz Corporation, Anschutz Exploration's parent firm.

DeDominic, a geologist, brings an impressive record from more than 25 years as a project manager and technical advisor. He has led and supported onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration, production, operations and business development around the world-including planning and developing projects from concept to full production. DeDominic has directed operating divisions for companies including Occidental Petroleum and Santos U.S.A. DeDominic most recently was Senior Vice President and COO of Sanchez Energy Corporation, where he was responsible for all oil and gas operations, and oversaw the rapid growth of the company via operational expansion and strategic acqusitions.

DeDominic holds a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Montana, and a master's degree in geology from Texas A&M University.
