OSB Manufacturer Demonstrates Product Weather Resistance, Hosts Weather Game and Cash Prize Drawing at C7515 in Las Vegas
Vancouver, CANADA (January 15, 2012) - Ainsworth will demonstrate its award-winning pointSIX Durastrand Flooring® engineered subfloor solution in a highly dramatic display that incorporates rain, thunder and lightning during the 2013 International Builders' Show, January 22-24 in Las Vegas. The company will be showcasing its full range of value-added OSB products, and offering opportunities to win cash and other prizes.
Activities at Booth C7515:
• PointSIX Flooring: New to the show, pointSIX Durastrand Flooring is a revolutionary engineered subfloor solution featuring patented tapered-edge technology in which a thin layer of the highly compressed fiber along all four edges of the OSB panel is milled off, removing the part of the subfloor that's most prone to swelling.
PointSIX Flooring was launched following extensive research and performance testing, including subjecting the panels to repeated wet and dry cycles to simulate severe, wet jobsite conditions. In one rigorous test, the engineered panel was flooded for 14 days; after drying out, the average edge swell was contained to 0.01 inch, not much more than a sheet of paper. PointSIX Durastrand Flooring carries a 1-year no-sand warranty and the industry's only lifetime warranty against delamination.
