Mr. Zelmer began his career on Wall Street in 1963 where he served as assistant to the Chief Economist of J.P.
Morgan and Senior Security Analyst and Portfolio Manager for a leading mutual fund complex.
In 1971, he and his family moved to Colorado where he accepted the position of Senior Portfolio Manager for United Bank of Denver.
After joining Mr. Benson at First Trust Corporation in 1978, Mr. Zellmer co-founded Nelson, Benson & Zellmer Inc. in 1983.
Through the years, Mr. Zellmer has managed investment portfolios for some of the region’s largest foundations, pension plans and families and he brings that experience and expertise to all of the firm’s clients.
He is a graduate of Bradley University and is past President of the Denver Society of Security Analysts.
