Profile

Mr. Salmon retired as President of the University of Vermont in 1997 after nearly six years of service.
Much of his life has been devoted to law and public service.
He served two terms as Governor of Vermont (1973-1977), following service as a judge and Vermont state legislator.
He formerly served as chair of the Board of Advisors of Green Mountain Power Corporation and served on a number of other corporate boards.
He received his undergraduate and law degrees from Boston College, and holds a Masters of Law degree (in taxation) from New York University Law School.
