Stephanie Charles is the Head of Capital Markets and a Deal Partner focused on investments in the Consumer and Retail sectors at BGH Capital.
Previously, Stephanie was a Managing Director in the investment banking division at Credit Suisse, based in Melbourne.
Stephanie spent nearly fourteen years at Credit Suisse and was Head of Retail, Consumer, Healthcare and Chemicals for Australia.
During her time at Credit Suisse, Stephanie advised on over A$10 billion of capital markets assignments and over A$10 billion in M&A transactions across a range of sectors, including the IPOs of Inghams, Healthscope, Myer, Dyno Nobel and Goodman Fielder, as well as over A$10 billion in M&A transactions, including the sales of Icon Group, Genesis Care, Goodman Fielder and Griffin’s Foods.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Stephanie worked for four years in the investment banking division of Citigroup in Australia and New York.
Prior to that, she spent almost three years as a lawyer at Allens Linklaters.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and a Bachelor of Law (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
She currently serves on the Australian Takeovers Panel.
