Shaun Kobrin

Prior to joining HCC, Mr. Kobrin worked with Dancap Private Equity.
Under Mr. Kobrin's guidance, Dancap is building a portfolio that focuses on investments that are based on working partnerships, providing value through our existing networks to help shape and manage long-term strategic direction and profitability.
Mr. Kobrin brings extensive experience to his role at Dancap.
As an Investment Manager with Covington Capital Corporation for over 5 years, Mr. Kobrin played a significant role in the growth of this leading venture capital firm, contributing to the success of its Labour Sponsored Investment Funds - Covington Fund I, Covington Fund II and Triax Growth Fund.
Mr. Kobrin's background in public accounting has provided him a solid foundation in all aspects of business finance.
Prior to entering the asset management field, Mr. Kobrin served as senior accountant in the insolvency practice at Doane Raymond (since changed to Grant Thornton).
Here he was involved in all aspects of receivership and bankruptcy, as well as working in their audit practice providing business and assurance services for companies in varied industries and stages of growth.
A graduate of York University, Mr. Kobrin is a chartered accountant.
He have served on various boards of both private and public companies and is a member of several advisory committees for a diverse group of companies .
