Forces Korea/J2 and deputy C2, Combined Forces Command; Assistance Chief of Staff for Intelligence in Bosnia-Herzegovina; and Chief, Modernization Support Division for the Plans and Integration Directorate, Department of Army Staff.
Prior to this position, he was vice president for the Intelligence Systems line of business, overseeing program management, multi-intelligence mission management, imagery processing, high-spec signal processing, high-performance computing, systems engineering, software development and research and development at facilities in Maryland, Virginia, California and Minnesota.
Before joining General Dynamics, he served as the director of operations for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) within the Department of Defense.
General Isler also served as the associate director of Central Intelligence for Military Support at the Central Intelligence Agency and as the associate deputy director for operations (military support) at the National Security Agency.
Mr. Isler received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Shippensburg.
He is a graduate of the U.S.
Army War College.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hospice of the Chesapeake, member of National AFCEA Intelligence Committee, and a member of the Foundation Board of Directors for the National Cryptologic Museum Foundation.
He has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for the US Army Infantry Officer Candidate School and for the Military Intelligence School.
