Prior to joining Viking Asset Management, Mr. Brantman was most recently a partner at Promethean Asset Management, LLC and its affiliates (“Promethean”).
Since May 2003, Mr. Brantman has been responsible for the due diligence, structuring, negotiating, executing and monitoring of investment opportunities for Promethean.
Prior to joining Promethean, Mr. Brantman was an equity partner at Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman in Chicago, a national law firm with over 600 lawyers, where he specialized in corporate and securities law with a particular focus on representing large hedge funds in their investment and trading activities.
During his 12 years of legal practice, Mr. Brantman represented investors and issuers in over 200 capital market transactions in the U.S., Europe, Australia, South America and Asia, including public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities.
For the 6 years prior to joining Promethean, Mr. Brantman was Promethean’s primary outside transactional and securities lawyer.
Mr. Brantman holds a J.D.
from The University of Notre Dame Law School where he graduated magna cum laude in 1991 and a B.B.A.
in Finance from The University of Notre Dame where he graduated with honors in 1988.
