Zeropex AS manufactures equipment for generating renewable energy from the pressure drop in water systems while improving management of pressure and flow in such networks. Its product Difgen, is a high-performance hydropower generator which also functions as a pressure reduction valve (PRV) for use in water systems and similar applications. It comprises a turbine, a generator and a control system. The firm also manufactures in-pipe micro turbines proven in water industry use. Its micro turbines also operate as a smart control valve which is able to manage both pressure and flow in water networks. The firm offers site surveys with survey report and recommendations, installation design, installation and commissioning and service agreements. The company was founded by Trond Melhus, Per Reidar Ørke and Jan Kristian Vasshus in 2006 and is headquartered in Stavanger, Norway.
