Mr. Paul M.
Delaney, CFA MBA, is Senior Vice President & Senior Analyst at Piedmont Investment Advisors LLC.
He covers the Financial Services and Utilities sectors.
Prior to his current position, he led the firm’s Bank Advisory Services team, which performed preferred stock and warrant valuation services for the U.S.
Department of the Treasury’s Troubled Asset Relief Program.
The team also provided Treasury with recommendations and due diligence regarding a variety of distressed bank acquisition and recapitalization proposals.
Before joining Piedmont in 2009, Mr. Delaney worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Morgan Stanley, where he published written research discussing investment ideas and industry insights on U.S.
banks with market values of $3-$23 billion, and Deutsche Bank Securities, where he was a Research Associate covering mortgage finance and healthcare facilities.
He also has experience developing financial and quantitative models.
Mr. Delaney received his Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Bachelor of Arts in History in the conjoint degree program and Diploma in Commerce for Finance from the University of Auckland, New Zealand and his Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is also a Chartered Accountant member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
