Mr. Michael P.
Johnson, CFA, is a Vice President of Investments at Arcataur Capital Management LLC.
Mr. Johnson's responsibilities include active management of the firm's equity and fixed income portfolios, and the asset allocation process.
His primary focus is on the factors influencing the equity and fixed income selection process within the firm.
These factors include the macroeconomic outlook and its effect on the overall financial markets and specific industries, the impact of these factors on interest rates and asset allocation decisions, and finally, a focus on individual company fundamentals.
Prior to joining Arcataur Capital, Mr. Johnson served on the Arcataur Capital Advisory Board.
From 1984-2016 he was at Northwestern Mutual Investment Management/Mason Street Advisors/Northwestern Mutual.
From 2012-2016 he managed the Dividend Stock Portfolio with a focus on investing in companies with rising dividends.
From 2003-2012 Mr. Johnson served as co-manager of Mason Street Advisor’s Growth Stock Portfolio which focused on large capitalization growth stocks.
From 2006-2012 he managed a Large-Capitalization portfolio for the company’s pension account and served on its asset allocation committee.
Prior to his portfolio management responsibilities, Mr. Johnson served as an equity analyst covering various sectors and industries.
He served his initial eight years at Northwestern Mutual as a Systems Analyst in the company’s Information Systems Department.
He received his BBAs in Accounting and Management – Computer Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
