Michel Lanier

Mr. Michel Lanier is a Managing Director at Argos Investment Managers SA. He joined Argos as COO in October 2007, having previously been working as an independent consultant to groups such as Viel-Tradition, SCS Gestion Privée and Paris et Arpège Finances on administrative, accounting and financial projects, primarily arising out of mergers and acquisitions carried out by these companies.
He was also consulting on the legal and administrative issues arising out of the creation of fund umbrellas and products.
In 1984, he oversaw the creation of SCS Compagnie Financière out of Stock and Commodity Trading SA and, as director of Administration and Finance, steered the company to obtain its banking licence under the name SCS Alliance SA. From 1991 to 2003, he continued as Director of Administration and Finance, now concentrating on the development of all systems for the financial and administrative management of the company and for the creation of all the company’s risk control and compliance systems.
Mr. Lanier also oversaw the creation of the company’s offshore fund range in Luxembourg.
Prior to this, he worked in the management of Credit Lyonnais group companies, having originally started his career at Migros Group, a leading Swiss food retailer.
