Mr. Gee joined American Capital in September 2006 with energy industry and private equity experience.
From 2001 to 2006, he was a Vice President with the Energy Investors Funds Group and was primarily responsible for originating, analyzing, executing, negotiating and closing power and energy investments.
From 1999 to 2001, he founded and managed Noble House Capital, a specialized private equity investment firm focused in the energy sector.
During that period, he incubated and operated an independent power company focused on the retail and commercial electricity markets, and a distributed generation company.
He also advised Northland Power on power plant acquisitions and raising capital.
From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Gee was an investment banker with BancBoston Robertson Stephens and Scotia Capital in Boston and New York where he worked on high yield financings, restructurings, leveraged buyouts for private equity firms, with various transactions in the power and energy sectors.
Prior to investment banking, Mr. Gee was a project development and consulting engineer involved in all aspects.

Mr. Gee earned his M.B.A.
in Finance from Queen's School of Business and a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Waterloo University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
