Mr. Mauricio M.
Benitez is Head of Credit Risk Agriculture Investments at responsAbility Investments AG.
He joined the responsAbility analysis team in September 2009, where he is now responsible for the credit analysis and ongoing monitoring of microfinance and fair trade transactions.
He has been in microfinance since 2000, when he started as an investment analyst in a Bolivian APEX organization after completing his Bachelor degree in Economics.
Before working for responsAbility, he was a short-term expert in lending efficiency and institutional appraisal for different donors and consultant firms, and conducted projects in several countries of Latin America and Eastern Europe.
He holds a Master in Development Economics from the University of Western Cape in South Africa and a Master in Development Management from Ruhr University in Bochum, Gerrmany.
