Prior to joining Providence Equity Partners in 2006, Mr. Nelson was a Senior Specialist Consultant at Cambridge Associates, where he advised universities, foundations, and high net worth families on their private equity and venture capital portfolios.
Earlier, Mr. Nelson served as a Senior Investment Officer at Westport Private Equity, now known as Capital Dynamics, an Associate at Fleet Fund Investors, and a Vice President at Village Ventures.
He began his career as a corporate attorney at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler.
Mr. Nelson received a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a BA from Williams College.
