Ms. Marie Diron is a Managing Director of Sovereign Risk at Moody's Investors Service Singapore Pte Ltd.
Ms. Diron was formerly a director of macro forecasting at Oxford Economics, where she coordinated the macroeconomic forecasts for Europe and worked on a wide range of consultancy projects involving scenario analysis and bespoke modelling.
She was a key contributor to the developments of the Oxford Economics Global Energy Industry Model, a multi-country model that analyses the implications of carbon-emission policies on the economy, she was also responsible for Oxford Economics forecasts of the German and French economies.
Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Ms. Diron worked for Brevan Howard, one of the largest European hedge funds.
She advised the fund’s traders on economic and monetary policy developments.
In a previous role, she worked at the European Central Bank.
As a principal economist she was responsible for forecasting, economic research and monetary policy analysis.
In particular, she developed a set of models for short-term forecasting and contributed to the ECB’s macroeconomic projections.
